Timothy Patrick Dillon has a broad background in complex commercial litigation. His career began in New York City before he moved to Los Angeles and became a litigation partner at a corporate/entertainment law firm representing media and entertainment businesses and then a partner at the country’s leading law firm that represents insurance policyholders.
Mr. Dillon is a nationally recognized expert in life insurance litigation. He was lead counsel in federal multidistrict litigation challenging a rate increase which resulted in a $425 million settlement for 100,000 life policyholders, in cash and policy extensions.
Mr. Dillon devotes substantial efforts to pro bono and community activities. He works extensively with the Inner City Law Center successfully prosecuting slum housing litigation and raising funds to expand Inner City’s programs helping homeless veterans. Mr. Dillon also works closely with the non-profit Uncommon Good which helps the most vulnerable break the intergenerational cycle of poverty. He serves on Inner City’s Board, as President of Uncommon Good’s Board and also chairs their fundraising committees. Mr. Dillon served as a volunteer mediator in the Los Angeles Superior Court and was President of the Laguna Beach Community Clinic.
